How can we shatter what matters without becoming unfeeling and disconnected? I think what we need to look at here is, I’m asking all of you to shatter what matters at a personality level, not what matters at a spiritual level. If your job, your partner, your house, your money, your love life, whether you’re going to win lotto is more important to you than your connection to Spirit, then your connection to Spirit doesn’t matter enough so I’m going to turn it around a bit.
It’s not a question of it’s got to be one or the other but when we’re connected to Spirit, and John talks about this all the time, when we allow our connection to Spirit to be there, everything we do comes from our heart. And so how we interact with people matters because spiritually we’re leading the way, we’re guiding them, we’re helping them, but we’re doing it from an openhearted perspective.
When we do it from a personality perspective, quite often we do it because we want to be recognised, we want them to like us, we want them to know how good we are. We want them to come to us and to depend on us so that we won’t be alone. It’s a very different energy. There isn’t the compassion in it when it comes from personality to the same degree as when it comes from Soul.
So, I guess what I’m saying is: is it your personality stuff that matters most or is it your Soul, spiritual stuff that matters most?
