Discernment is a very wonderful tool to use. It is not judgment. It is about looking at a situation, evaluating the energy of that situation from the perspective of understanding what the significance of it is, and then according to that understanding, choosing to stand still, step back or step forward. It is not judgment.
When does discernment become judgment? When what is seen is an absence of light not the fullness of light. When you look at a situation and see what is lacking, what is inappropriate, you judge.
If you observe a situation, if you evaluate and that evaluation enables you to understand that there is a shadow present, that is discernment. If you look at it, see the shadow and say this is terrible, that is judgment. It is the sentence, which is passed, even the sentence which is spoken, which enables you to discern or to judge.
