Being Optimistic

We always learn more about self when we are able to see what no longer matters. I find it fascinating to look back and see what seemed so important in the past is not at the forefront now. Some losses take time to get over but most of what matters is subject to where we are and how we are growing. WE make it so much harder when we attach to outcomes based on others and what we expect of them.

When it matters too much then we live with fear of loss. How will we cope if it’s no longer present in our lives? Will we be able to survive without it?

When it matters too much we are emotionally attached to it being more than we are. After all, if we were more than it, it wouldn’t matter quite so much, would it?

What matters to you – that you could actually live without?
