  1. Hi Helen,
I love this way of understanding grief and as I look back almost 8 years now I can recognise these seasons clearly. The thing about seasons is that they don’t stop at summer and there are times when autumn winter and spring re- emerge at various times. It is the te of using them and naming them and accepting their transitory comings and going’s that has helped me so much.
My deepest winter, part of which if you remember I visited you, lasted as long as it needed to and I look back and feel I fully immersed myself in it. Fir me it was a few years.
    Your sharing is so appreciated.
I am writing from Italy in the hottest summer I’ve ever experienced and looking forward to returning at the end of the week to feel the cool air of a fading winter and the newness or another spring.
