Blind Faith – An Excerpt from John on Discernment – Transcript
If you follow another because of who the other is without understanding the significance of their message, that is Blind Faith. Look at the message not the messenger. A good way to be able to do this would be to take the message and file it in Unknown. Look at three or four of them and put them together in an Unknown file. Wait a few weeks until you forgot where you got it from and then go and look at the message and ask yourself: does this resonate, and if it does, how does it resonate? Look at the message and if does not resonate then in your meditation, asked to be reminded of who the messenger is. Say thank you to the messenger for helping you to learn this important point and set the message itself to one side.
Swallowinging something blindly because of origin does not assist you. Your discernment is in abeyance and therefore you can become misled by others because you are so open to their potential and you are not listening to their message. There are those in your world whose message may appear dark and yet when you look at the significance, it makes a lot of sense. You think to yourself how it’s possible for it to make sense when the messenger is not someone of the Light. If you look at the message and say whoever it’s come from does not matter, the message has significance for me, you have used discernment.
