What’s your blueprint for 2018?

What is your plan for 2018? Why is this your focus? Where do you want it to take you? How will you get there? When will you know it’s arrived? Who do you wish to share it with in 2018 Now that we are well into January, it’s a great time to look at our plans or vision for the year. Most of us do this for our business, if we have one. However, what about our life itself? All of the above questions could be used to create a business plan. They can equally be used for a personal plan. Each year I begin with a new journal. Journaling helps me to recognise things that might be subconscious or challenging. It also gives me clear understanding of how my year has unfolded and what I have learned or resisted. I usually begin each year with a phrase that represents my vision or plan for the year. It encapsulates my focus and helps me to stay on track. For example, in 2000 my phrase was a question. Are we having fun yet? This year my phrase was coined by someone else and is an old one. However I feel it appropriate for 2018. Onwards and upwards! Then I look at the people in my life. Are they there for a reason, a season or a lifetime? I meditate on what I am to learn or develop. Where is my guidance taking me? How strong is my emotional well being? How accepting of myself and others am I being? Each entry in my journal covers these things. In recent years I started dividing the year into quarters to better understand the themes that developed. This also helped me to see how those themes then played out in relationships, with finances, health and our business. The greatest gift? I discovered that if I did not meditate prior to journaling then all I wrote came from my head and not my guidance. The thoughts would be very logical and yet nothing ever worked out as I had anticipated. Meditating first puts us on a different plane and the creativity we access then can be profound. Above all don’t take this too seriously. Life is about joy and laughter so create time and space in your life to enjoy it.
