One of the best tools that we have, and it’s something I talk about a lot, is meditation. Many people struggle because they feel they have to shut their mind up, which means they’re engaged in a battle. And nothing happens to bring them a sense of stillness or peace.
Meditation is about focus. It’s about taking your attention inside and focusing. So, you focus on your breath, for example, and just take the time to focus on breathing in and breathing out. In doing that, you’re going to get your mind chattering. You ignore it, and you focus on the breath, and in breathing in and breathing out.
Gradually, over time, you will feel as though everything becomes still for you. You sit in the stillness of your own heart.
