A long time ago when I was setting out on my spiritual path, I learned a phrase. I learned two phrases actually, that were really important.
The first one was, if it’s to be it begins with me. And secondly, of myself, I do nothing, which appear to contradict each other. And yet they don’t.
If it’s to be it begins with me means that unless I sit to make my connection to spirit to learn what spirit wants to teach, then nothing changes. Of myself I do nothing talks about the fact that letting go of control and allowing our guidance to direct our journey makes life so much easier.
It opens us up to possibilities that we ourselves might never have been able to consider
